Update

Easton is almost 2 months old! Our “little guy” is growing like a weed and is 13 pounds already. He is full of smiles and squeals and loves to play on the floor under his activity gym. Unfortunately we have had a few issues pop up. This week Easton was diagnosed with reflux. Sydney had the same thing so this was no surprise to us. He is really having a hard time sleeping – the acid will come up on him a few times during each nap and he wakes up screaming. He just started his medication Monday so hopefully it will bring him (and us) some relief soon.

Sydney turned 2 years old on April 21. She amazes me everyday with her language and math skills (go figure). She is saying 3-4 word sentences, counting up to 15 in English and up to 10 in Spanish, and can name several shapes. It is so nice to be home with her everyday. I can see her develop right before my eyes. Her favorite things to do right now are to care for her “friends” (stuffed animals) or play with her “guys” (Little People, Diego, Dora, animals) and their accessories. When the weather is nice we go outside and she will play on our slide, draw with sidewalk chalk, dig in the dirt with her fingernails, or pick flowers for mom (dandelions). She is paying more attention to Easton these days as well. If he cries for too long she will bring over his binky and throw it at him or yell, “Stop it!” She gets down on the floor with him and shakes toys in his face or hits his hand and says, “High five brudder.” I still cannot get her to hold him for more than 1 second nor will she pose for a picture with him.
