Fighting off bugs
So the kids have both been sick. Syd had a horrible sinus infection last week and is still battling a nasty cough this week. Easton . . . . well Easton is always a longer story. I took him in on Monday thinking he had an ear infection. Dr (not our normal doctor) said no ear infection but he did have RSV. We were told to keep an eye on his fever and his breathing. On Tuesday when I picked him up from daycare his breathing was way worse - very crackly - so I got him another appt. We went back in and saw the same doctor as Monday and now she tells me that he does have an ear infection and prescribed a breathing treatment b/c his breathing was very labored and his pulse ox? was low. After the breathing treatment (also known as torture) his pulse ox went up and he was breathing much easier. So she sent us home with a nebulizer so we can do the breathing treatments at home every 4-6 hours. She mentioned that he may have more trouble with wheezing later in life in the form of asthma but I'm taking that with a grain of salt right now. One battle at a time. I have a long weekend ahead of me - MID WINTER BREAK!!!! Hopefully 4 days at home with help the kids recover.
