Daycare Issues

So Sydney is not adjusting well to being at daycare. On Tuesday she gave me the lip quiver as I left Sandy's but did not cry, which I thought was a good sign. But she refused to eat breakfast and snack and threw a 45 minute tantrum at lunch before devouring everything in site. When we got home she was an emotional wreck. She threw tantrum after tantrum and was absolutely out of control. On Wednesday she was at Aunt Dana's and refused to eat lunch. We had to go to Easton's well child appt afterwards, which she was not happy about, and she decided to scream and throw a fit for 45 out of the 60 minutes we were there (they had no record of our appt so we had to be squeezed in - that helped a lot). Once we got home there was more of the same. Thursday morning she cried when I left her at Sandy's and had to be fed 3 bites of macaroni for lunch, but that's all she had. She refused to eat dinner at home and was a beast until bedtime. She woke up about 4 times last night and was a zombie this morning. Today when we pulled up to Sandy's she started crying, "Kelly's house, Kelly's house!" When I finally got her and Easton out of the car she tried to pull me in the opposite direction of daycare saying "This way mommy." I had to drag her, kicking and screaming, up the driveway and into the house before Sandy was able to take Easton from me. She clung to me and screamed when I finally said goodbye. I would say she is not transitioning well. I feel so bad for her. This is totally not like her. We have tried to give her our undivided attention once we're at home but that didn't really help. I guess the next step is disciplining her. I hate to do it b/c I feel responsible for the way she is acting but it might be our only option. Hopefully next week is better.

Let me know if you want us to visit this weekend. We'll be around and we'll pray for a better week 2

Hang in there! Hopefully she'll quickly find a rhythm and discover that daycare can be a fun place.
